GNRHA Update

GNHRA has recently received the 2007 Superior Merit Award for its scope of work in perpetuating and supporting the mission of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

“This recognition demonstrates both the leadership and the successful partnership our chapter has with SHRM to serve the networking and professional development needs of Human Resource professionals and to the advancement of the human resources profession” noted Pamela J. Green, SPHR, Chief Membership Office for SHRM.

The Board of GNHRA is proud to receive this distinction for the past three years.

As we wind down our program year with two final programs (May 13th and June 10th) we have already begun to plan out our next years’ topics.  I would like to thank everyone who took our on-line survey and provided us with feedback on your everyday challenges, and topic ideas for the coming year.

GNHRA raffled one admittance to the upcoming Granite State Conference on May 6th for completing the survey.  Milly Ouellette from GL&V USA was selected to attend and had already planned to attend.  I would like to thank Matt King from King and Bishop for sponsoring this drawing.

It’s not too late to volunteer to be an e-mentor with the My-Turn program students.  Several volunteers have already stepped up and committed their time each month to talk with students via e-mail about school, work, or other issues.  If you are interested in joining us, please contact Bridget Bowmar at bbowmar@my-turn.org or 603-321-3416.

Lastly, we are still looking for volunteers to work on the GNHRA board for 2008-2009.  If you are interesting in serving, please contact me directly to discuss how you can help.
